I finally got to travel back to my beloved Andalucía, although just for 8 nights- which is way too short. No matter how well you plan ahead and how many hours you will spend on the autovias del sur, there are just too many amazing things to discover. Heavy-heartedly we had to cross off our list cities like Granada (this was the toughest), Córdoba, Nerja, Jerez de la Frontera and so on; but it is midsummer and we wanted to spend some time at the beach after a disappointing “monsoon season” back home.

Let’s assume you read part 1 of my guide and you are landing on a Saturday afternoon in Cape Town to start your journey. Here’s your daily schedule:
If one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble, two weeks in Cape Town will make a weary man happier than Leo at this year’s Oscars.
What happens when you decide to try your luck on a Saturday night and pop into a trendy restaurant without reservations? Correct, most probably you will you end up walking the streets after 10pm and eating some nasty trash food next to some drunk teenagers and a guy begging for your change. But on rare occasions while aimlessly wandering the streets you land a lucky punch and find a hidden gem.
In a place where dozens of new restaurants open every season, it is helpful to have a safe bet to turn to for a casual lunch or dinner.
It may be a dog eat dog world out there right now, but once in while every dog needs a little treat.
A couple of years after a certain Columbus had discovered the Virgin Islands, I finally discovered it also for myself. Although won’t need to spend months on a boat fighting scurvy or mutinies it is still an adventure to reach (or as in my case leave) the island. But in any event it will be worth your while; I promise.
