Once in a while everybody needs a change of scenery and if scenery is your priority then you should definitely consider Sevilla. Sure it may not be Rome or Paris but that’s exactly the point. It may be the most beautiful place you haven’t visited yet.

After leaving Cádiz we drove to the next highlight of the trip and most probably one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, if not the world. Sevilla!

Now that you are acclimatized to the burning heat of southern Spain and had your first tapas and drinks in Malaga, it is time to start the road trip and to travel to the south.

I finally got to travel back to my beloved Andalucía, although just for 8 nights- which is way too short. No matter how well you plan ahead and how many hours you will spend on the autovias del sur, there are just too many amazing things to discover. Heavy-heartedly we had to cross off our list cities like Granada (this was the toughest), Córdoba, Nerja, Jerez de la Frontera and so on; but it is midsummer and we wanted to spend some time at the beach after a disappointing “monsoon season” back home.
