On Wednesday 5th of November ’14 Alice Choo opened its doors for the first time at Limmatstrasse 275, Zurich (formerly Indochine Club).
As we all know you never get a second chance to make a first impression, therefore Alice had to go all-in for the occasion. With a new interior design by the team at Atelier Estimo, a red carpet, and a new concept the stage was set for a great evening.
After being welcomed by a midget and a giant (no kidding!) we were finally able to explore the totally refurbished premises. It has become an elegant yet edgy place with an Asian flair. It is slightly dark and will most probably not be the venue of choice if you want to spent a lovely dinner with your grandmother but if you are looking for a London/Miami/Ibiza type of place which combines a restaurant, a bar and a club; THEN:

The finger food which was served was delicious, especially the skewers with beef and truffles as well as the duck breast salad. Unfortunately there was no possibility to have a proper dinner due to the number of attendees, but there are already some pictures on the web from the opening lunch and the plates look quite promising.
The restaurant is located on the ground level and will offer some burlesque kind of show and other entertainment during dinner, while in the basement; or namely “rabbit hole”; there is a smoker’s lounge and a club room where you may burn the calories you just had upstairs.
The opening night was quite a success and I will return to test the food and the atmosphere on a regular evening… and so should you.
